Permits Requirements

YOU WILL NEED A PERMIT FOR ANY OF THE FOLLOWING:

  1. New Construction
  2. Accessory Building
  3. Pools
  4. Siding
  5. Windows, Roofing, Siding
  6. Signs
  7. Fences over six (6) feet tall
  8. Additions
  9. Any alteration(s) to a structure other than cosmetic (painting, flooring etc)

WHEN APPLYING FOR A PERMIT FOR NEW CONSTRUCTION:

  1. Conservation signature and a copy of Order of Conditions, if applicable
  2. Fire Department signature
  3. Collector/Treasurer’s signature (*** Map & Parcel # may be obtained from the Assessor’s Office)
  4. Department of Public Works Driveway Permit
  5. Board of Health Disposal of Works Permit
  6. One (1) copy of Construction Plans
  7. One (1) Copy of of Plot Plan–PLEASE NOTE: A CERTIFIED PLOT PLAN  MUST BE PROVIDED ONCE THE FOUNDATION IS POURED
  8. Mass Check (May be obtained from Lumber Company)
  9. Please complete all sections of the application and all required signatures
  10. Once the permit is approved, you may start construction

Construction must start within 180 days of Approval Date (unless an extension has been requested and granted)

WHEN APPLYING FOR A PERMIT FOR A POOL:

  1. Conservation signature is required
  2. One Copy of a Certified Plot Plan clearly showing location of ppl
  3. All setbacks are to be met
