From William Street/Main Street to Elm Street/Milford Street.
Project Summary
The project is approximately 1.765 miles in length and consists of new sidewalks with improved handicap accessibility, new and reset granite curbing and a reconstructed/resurfaced roadway with bicycle accommodating shoulders. Minor intersection realignments and drainage system improvements are also proposed. The project also proposes the reconstruction of the Main Street/ Grove Street/ Milford Street intersection as a roundabout.
Public Hearing on 25% Design Plans
MassDOT held a public hearing on Thursday, January 26, 2023, at 6:30 pm to hear comments from the public on the proposed reconstruction of Main Street from its intersection with Williams Street through to Milford Street and its intersection with Elm Street.

Statements and exhibits intended for inclusion in the public hearing transcript must be emailed or postmarked no later than ten business days (14 calendar days) after the hearing held on January 26, 2023. Information on the project is hosted on the MassDOT website for the Upton - Route 140 Corridor Project.
Hard copies of the Plans and documents are able to be viewed by visiting the Department of Land Use and Inspectional Services on the top floor of Upton Town Hall.
