To apply for a Marriage License, the couple needs to appear in person together at the Town Clerk's office. The couple will complete the necessary paperwork (Marriage Intentions) and pay the fee of $20.
The Town Clerk holds the license for 3 days as required by State Law. After the 3 days, the license must be picked up and given to the Officiant. The license expires 60 days from the issue date.
Once the ceremony is performed, the Officiant mails the original license back to the Town Clerk's office. The couple must contact the Town Clerk's office to obtain a certified copy of the marriage license for a fee of $10.
