Firearms Licensing

Firearms application and renewal appointments are scheduled Monday through Friday from 8:15 am to 3:30 pm by appointment.

Apply for a First-Time Massachusetts Firearms License

• Complete a Massachusetts State Police-approved Firearms Safety class
• Complete a MA resident firearms application
• Mail your completed application, safety certificate, and check made payable to the Town of Upton for $100 to:
  • Upton Police Department
    Attn: Paula Deiana
    30 School Street
    Upton, MA 01568
• After your completed application packet is received, you will be contacted for an appointment for a review of your application, fingerprints and photographs.

Renewing Your Firearms License
