Firearms Licensing

You may now apply for or renew your firearms license online through the link below.  You may still renew or apply in person if you prefer, please call for an appointment, 508-529-3200

Firearms appointments are scheduled Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday between 8:30 am to 3:00 pm by appointment.

Apply for a First-Time Massachusetts Firearms License

• Complete a Massachusetts State Police-approved Firearms Safety class
• Apply online for firearms license
• Mail your check or money order after applying online, payable to the Town of Upton for $100 to:
  • Upton Police Department
    Attn: Paula Deiana
    30 School Street
    Upton, MA 01568
• For new licenses, after your completed application is submitted, you will be contacted for an appointment for a review of your application, fingerprints and photographs.
