EXERCISE CLASSES
Exercise with Shirley
Looking for a gentle, fun way to stay active? Join us for a low-impact aerobics class perfect for all fitness levels! Classes meet Tuesdays at 11:15 am and Fridays at 9:30 am. Come move, laugh, and feel great! $3 per person.
Strength & Stretch
Build strength, improve flexibility, and feel your best! Join us every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 10:45 am. This balanced workout combines gentle strength training with deep stretching—perfect for all fitness levels! $3 per person.
Dance Fusion Fitness
Get moving and have fun with Dance Fusion Fitness! Join Scott every Wednesday at 9:30 am for a high-energy workout set to upbeat, lively music. It’s a great way to boost your fitness and your mood! $3 per person.
Line Dancing
Kick up your heels and join the fun every Wednesday at 2:45 pm for line dancing! It’s a great way to stay active, make friends, and enjoy lively music—no experience needed. Come dance with us! $5 per person.
Chair Yoga
Looking for a gentle way to improve flexibility and reduce stress? Join us every Thursday at 10:30 am! This accessible practice uses a chair for support, making yoga poses easier and safer for all fitness levels. Perfect for enhancing balance, strength, and relaxation—no yoga experience needed! $3 per person.
GAMES
Pitch!
Love a good card game? Come play Pitch with us! The group meets every Tuesday at 10 am for fun, friendly competition, and great company. All skill levels welcome—come join the fun!
Hand and Foot Card Game
Join the fun with our Hand and Foot card game group! It’s a fun and easy-to-learn card game similar to Canasta, played in teams with lots of laughs along the way! Join us every Tuesday at 12:30 pm for an afternoon of cards, conversation, and friendly competition. All are welcome—no experience needed!
Mahjong
Calling all seasoned Mahjong players! Join us every Wednesday at 12:30 pm for a focused, competitive game session with fellow enthusiasts. New to Mahjong or looking to learn? Check out our Practice Mahjong group designed just for beginners!
Practice Mahjong
New to Mahjong or want to sharpen your skills? Join our group every Thursday at 11:30 am to learn the game and build your confidence in a friendly, supportive setting. All skill levels welcome!
Scrabble Group
Put your word skills to the test! Join us every Friday at 1 pm for a fun and friendly game. Whether you’re a seasoned player or just love words, all are welcome to come challenge their vocabulary and enjoy great company!
Trivia Time
Think you’ve got what it takes to be a trivia champ? Join for Trivia Time with the Upton Town Library on the last Monday of each month at 12:30 pm! Bring your brainpower, grab a friend, and enjoy an afternoon of fun questions and friendly competition. All are welcome.
Bingo!
Looking for a lively way to spend your afternoon? Join us every Thursday from 1–3 pm for Bingo! It’s a fantastic chance to socialize, enjoy some friendly competition, and win great prizes. Everyone’s welcome—come test your luck and have a blast!
GROUPS
Grief Support Group
If you're coping with loss, you're not alone. Join our group, led by Robin Natanel, every Tuesday at 1 pm. This supportive space offers comfort, connection, and healing for those navigating grief. All are welcome.
Knit and Crochet Group
Bring your own materials and join us every Thursday at 10 am in the Senior Center lounge for a relaxing time of knitting, crocheting, and socializing with fellow crafters. Enjoy good company while working on your projects.
Nutrition Talk
Want expert tips on healthy eating and staying well? Join our Nutrition Talk once a month on a Monday at 11:30 am to get advice and discuss ways to boost your health. Check the calendar each month for the exact date—your path to better nutrition starts here!
Mindful Meditation
Take a moment to pause and reconnect. Join us the 2nd Friday of every month at 1 pm with Robin Natanel—a calming practice to help you acknowledge your thoughts, feelings, and sensations without judgment. Silver Sisterhood
Looking to connect with other women 55+ in the community? Join the Silver Sisterhood, a welcoming fellowship of senior women who come together to make new friends, share interests, laughter, and support. We meet on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of every month at 11 am. Come be part of the sisterhood!
Friends of Upton Seniors (FUSe)
FUSe is a nonprofit organization dedicated to enriching the lives of our senior community. In partnership with Elder and Social Services staff, we help fund social events, services, and programs that foster connection and well-being. All donations are tax-deductible. Join us the first Monday of each month at 1:00 pm in supporting a vibrant, connected senior community!
Council on Aging (COA) Meeting
The COA meets every 2nd Monday of the month at 1 pm to discuss ideas and initiatives that support and enrich the lives of our senior community. Join us to have your voice heard and help make a positive impact!
EVENTS
Birthday Bash
Join us at as we celebrate all the birthdays of the month over pizza and cake! The party starts at 12:30 pm. It's just $5 per person — but if it’s your birthday month, you join for free! Enjoy great food, fun company, and plenty of birthday cheer. Check the newsletter for the date!
TRIPS
Shopping Trips
We’re here to make your grocery shopping easier! We offer transportation ($4) once a week to local grocery stores, including Walmart, Shaw’s, and Market Basket. Be sure to check the newsletter each week for the specific date, time, and store destination. Let us help you get where you need to go—stress-free!
Lunch Trip
Join us once a month for a fun lunch outing to a local restaurant (cash only)! Transportation is available, but spots are limited—so be sure to reserve your seat early. Enjoy good food and great company while exploring new dining spots in the community! Check the newsletter for the date, time, and location.
